Who We Are: Rob Malone President Malone Church Solutions
“We are truly advocates. We work with clients to make educated, good decisions. We’re not here to push a sale. We want to make sure this is the right move. Our mission is not to oversell. We’re realistic and not just out to sell churches. We want to make sure those churches are sustainable.” – Rob Malone, President, Malone Church Solutions.
Rob’s leadership abilities combined with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and absolute dedication to Christ prompted him, in June 2006, to establish a new building division, Malone Building Solutions. As the only certified church consultants in the St. Louis area, Rob and his brother, Marty, have pioneered a new approach to the traditional Design/Build model. The new model is called Pure Design/Build, which focuses on the ability to financially assess positive growth in a “healthy” manner. Rob apprenticed for his father, Mel, for many years. He briefly took a job as a reporter at the Belleville News-Democrat, Belleville, IL. With the family business rapidly expanding, Rob soon realized he preferred to build structures rather than sentences. Today, he plans and directs all aspects of the company's policies, objectives and initiatives. Rob is a Certified Church Consultant through the National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB) program. He is married with two daughters, a son, and three grandchildren.
Marty Malone Vice President Malone Church Solutions
“Our philosophy of Vision and Mission Before Design ensures that the church receives the facility it needs to support its ministries and reach the un-churched community” – Marty Malone, VP Malone Church Solutions. Marty began his career as an apprentice studying under his father, brother, and a team of expert builders. Marty has always enjoyed challenging himself, as proven by the fact that at the age of 16, Marty submitted Mt Everest after 2 attempts the previous year. Today, he oversees day-to-day operations at Malone Church Solutions, works to improve processes and procedures and believes in a hands-on approach with clients. He is responsible for business and sales strategy as well as new business development. Marty is a Licensed Church Health Consultant and a Certified Church Consultant through the National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB). He is married and a father of four children.
Margaret (Malone) Alford Chief Financial Officer Malone Church Solutions
“Our mission is clear, we are here to serve our clients and act responsibly and honestly on their behalf.” – Margaret (Malone) Alford, CFO, Malone Church Solutions
Margaret joined the company in 1991 when the family needed her considerable talents in computer skills and finance. Since then, her duties have expanded to all aspects of financial planning. She is an expert in economic strategy and forecasting, responsible for presenting and reporting accurate and timely historical financial information of company creditors, employees and other members of management. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, IL. She has one son.
Mel Malone Founder Malone Design & Construction
“My father was driven, focused and uncompromising. He demanded that everyone to be a top performer. You always knew where you stood with Mel Malone.” – Rob Malone, President, Malone Church Solutions.
Mel Malone learned the meaning of entrepreneurship and hard work in Washington Park, East St. Louis, where he was raised. He was a carpenter and a union man, with a strong work ethic and four children to support. Through the years, he worked for many companies, consistently moving upwards from carpenter to superintendent to co-owner of MK Construction. In 1976, he started his own company, Malone Design & Construction, from the basement of his Fairview Heights, IL, home. Here, he worked to build a solid foundation of honesty and hard work that earned the family-run business the reputation it has today as residential and commercial builders. Mel was named “Best Contractor of the Year,’ for three years and earned 15 safety awards. He passed away in 1999.
